Math For Dummies Colored Pencil Drawing, Original Art on Paper
$197.00
A 20" x 30" drawing titled "Math For Dummies", drawn on archival 2 ply heavyweight Strathmore 500 (100% cotton) bristol paper with pen, colored pencil and conte crayon, finished with a protective coating of matte spray varnish. Beautiful and vibrant color in a striking and imaginative image! Hand signed and dated on the front and back by contemporary New Mexico artist Thomas Hill.
The artwork features a humorous take on a mathematical equation. At the top, the numbers and symbols "1 x 0 =" are created using colored, three-dimensional geometric shapes: a red "1," a blue cone and circular hole for the "x," and a pink open frame of a triangle for the "0." Below this, two green rings represent the number "0," flanking a division sign made from a brown rectangle and dot. Below the equation, the phrase "MATH FOR DUMMIES" is written in red uppercase letters, suggesting a playful or satirical approach to explaining math concepts. The background is lightly colored, creating a soft texture around the equation and text.
