Dust and Dirt Acrylic Painting On Canvas, Original Art

This artwork is a colorful 40" x 40" acrylic painting titled "Dust and Dirt", original and one of a kind painted in the New Mexico studio of contemporary artist Thomas Hill.

Bring bold color and expressive energy into a room with this one-of-a-kind original abstract artwork by contemporary New Mexico artist Thomas Hill titled "Dust and Dirt". At 40 x 40 inches, this substantial square painting creates an immediate focal point in a home, office, studio, or contemporary interior.
Layers of luminous yellow, green, turquoise, coral, pink, orange, and blue are combined with gestural marks, drips, lines, and textured passages. The composition balances loose, spontaneous movement with architectural shapes and areas of quieter color, giving the piece visual interest both from across a room and at close range.
It is a work exploring form, color, unconscious abstraction and physical movement. This painting is unique in it's image, it's juxtaposition of color and it's sweeping range of abstract painterly techniques. It has some texture, some iridescence, a small collage poem and a variety of paint applications to add vibrancy to the image. Charcoal accents are also present.
This is the original artwork—not a print or reproduction. Its large square format works especially well above a desk, sofa, console, or other prominent wall space.
