Southwest Abstract Acrylic Painting, Original Art, 20" x 20"

A 20" x 20"" square acrylic painting humorously titled "How The West Was Wondering", original, colorful and one of a kind painted in the New Mexico studio of Thomas Hill. This painting is heavily textured with a circle motif; the texture at interplay using beautiful colors of orange, red, green and yellow, both muted and vibrant hues.

The artwork is a vivid and abstract representation dominated by a large, central circular motif that draws the eye immediately. The core circle features a radiant gradient of colors starting from a bright yellow center, moving outward through a band of green, and then blue at the edge. Surrounding this central disc, there is a ring of intense red, giving the impression of an iris around a pupil.
Intersected by the central circle is a brown, jagged line, which creates a sense of division or perhaps an organic element, like a branch or crack, cutting through the composition. This line disrupts the symmetry of the circles, adding a dynamic tension to the piece.
The background of the painting bursts with a range of colors, predominantly shades of green and orange, suggesting a sense of movement with their gestural, sweeping application. There are also hints of red and blue that echo the central motif, creating a cohesive color palette. The colors seem to be applied with a degree of spontaneity, and the interactions between hues provide a feeling of energy and vibrancy.
On the top right, there's a portion of the painting with horizontal streaks of white paint that contrasts with the rest of the colorful backdrop. Overall, the artwork exudes a strong, abstract expressionist influence with its bold colors and energetic brushwork.

It is hand-signed and dated both on the front and the back. High quality acrylic paints used on a 7/8" gallery wrapped quality 10 ounce thick cotton duck canvas. Stretched on a strong wooden frame, this gallery wrapped canvas is splined and stapled on the back and painted on all sides to reveal a wraparound painting that requires no additional framing.

It is ready to hang unframed and comes with all hanging hardware attached. This archival painting will last for decades to come.

This would make a perfect gift for your home, business or for that special someone.
