Original watercolor painting by New Mexico contemporary artist Thomas Hill, measuring 18 x 24 inches.
This one-of-a-kind artwork blends surreal symbolism, folk-art charm, and expressive watercolor movement. A glowing circular center anchors the composition, filled with deep blues, reds, yellows, and organic abstract forms. Around it, hand-lettered words, a crow, a fish, moon-and-sun corner imagery, pyramids, and the contrasting “YES” and “NO” create a dreamlike visual riddle similar to a Ouija Board.
The piece has a mystical Southwestern feel, balancing playful narrative details with rich color and intuitive symbolism. It would make a striking addition to a collection of original New Mexico art, surreal watercolor, outsider-inspired work, or symbolic contemporary folk art.
An unframed 18" x 24" watercolor titled "What The Crow Saw", painted on archival 140# Arches Watercolor Paper (100% cotton) using the finest watercolor paints, colored pencil and finished with a protective coating of matte spray varnish. Beautiful, complex and vibrant color in a striking design! Hand signed and dated on the front and back.
