If Television Was A Verb Acrylic Painting, Original Art

Almost a dreamy landscape, a beautiful 30" x 40" acrylic painting titled "If Television Was A Verb", original and one of a kind painted in the New Mexico studio of contemporary artist Thomas Hill. It is hand-signed and dated both on the front and the back.
This painting is a luminous abstract landscape built from soft washes of yellow, orange, pale blue, and ochre. The upper portion feels atmospheric and sky-like, with golden light drifting through cool blue-gray passages, suggesting clouds, rain, or shafts of sunlight. Below, warm horizontal bands move across the canvas like distant mesas, desert ridges, or layered earth forms.

The strongest visual accent is the rust-orange band running across the lower middle, creating a rugged horizon line. Beneath it, thin vertical drips descend through the lighter yellow ground, adding a sense of weathering, movement, and gravity. The overall effect is warm, meditative, and spacious, with a Southwestern desert quality—sunlit, mineral, and atmospheric—balanced between landscape reference and pure abstraction.

High quality acrylic paints were used on a 1 1/2" deep gallery wrapped, quality 10 ounce thick cotton duck canvas. Stretched on a reinforced wooden frame, this gallery wrapped canvas is stapled on the back and painted on all sides to reveal a wraparound painting. It is ready to hang unframed and comes with all hanging hardware attached. It is archival and will last for decades to come.
